How to Apply for Ration Card Online in Karnataka. Step-by-step Process

Karnataka Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer affairs resumed the process of accepting Online Applications for issuing fresh Ration Cards for citizens who don’t have ration cards. But this time the process is made online. People applying for Ration card  should submit the application through the online application.

Karnataka FCSCA has opened a website with the help of National Informatics Center (NIC) for this purpose. The detailed database of Consumers having Ration card is also prepared. From last few months the new applications for ration cards was not accepted. Almost 12 Lakh duplicate Ration Cards were confiscated and cancelled.

Now those who are genuinely eligible for getting Ration Cards can apply online for New Ration Card. Even if you have temporary ration card which is expired can get the permanent ration card. Here is the step by step process of applying online.

Citizens residing only in Urban Areas can apply online. People in rural areas should submit the application at the concerned Gram Panchayath Office by paying Rs.10/- as fee.

A separate Window will be open with Online Application.

Ration_Card_Online_Application

Select your District, Taluk, area etc. Fill your RR No. (Electricity Bill No.) & Go to next page.

Ration_Card_Online_Application_page_2

Here fill the personal details like Name, Address, Date Of Birth, Marital Status, Office Address, Profession etc. & Click next page.

Ration_Card_Online_Application_page_3

In this page fill the family members details. You should add all the members in the family by clicking on the Add button. If you want to edit the details of the member you have already entered click on the select button and edit it. After adding each and every member of the family click next.

Ration_Card_Online_Application_page_4

This is the final screen. Here enter the details regarding your annual income, PAN Card No., LPG Connection Details, any remarks. Then submit the application. Take print out of the acknowledgement no. & note down the no.

      Landmark is nothing but any popular place near by your residence address. Like a cinema theater, Bus Stand, Convention hall, Big Shops / Mall, Banks etc. So that it will be helpful for the Department people who come to your home for Verification & collection of Photos & Thumbnail Impressions of family members.

    Dear Sir,

    I am newly married working in pvt co in belgaum,and I want to apply a fresh Ration Card. Now my problem is that, I am staying in rented house in belgaum, to get the New Ration Card at Belgaum,what documents should I submit? Please give your valuable advise to that effect. Secondly I am already have ration card in Arjunagi ( i.e. before marriage)with my family, because my native is Arjunagi, Tal&Dist:Bijapur.

      Even if you stay in rented house, there is no problem. while filling the application, they have asked about residential details. there you can choose type of house as rented.

      Once you apply for ration card online, the people visit your house and collect the photo and finger prints. They will also verify the details provided in the application. Later your card will be dispatched.

    I Entered all the data(All Details)(All Steps) and I have taken the print out.

    But in Print Out Family Details are not displaying.

      If you have clicked on previous page, the site is not printing the family details in the final acknowledgement. It’s the technical issue with the website.
      So dont worry. When they arrive for spot verification mention the details & problem.

      I am also facing the exact same problem. After entering all the details, upon submission the system says “Old Ration Card no. not exists”. Ridiculous!

      As of now there is no option to change the details or re-print the application. Only option is to resubmit application again.

      The technical department NIC should answer the questions asked here.

    I applied for ration card online on 16/12/2011 and got acknowledgement No 1119833. However, I found that erroneously I did not mention details of my LPG connection and hence I submitted another online application on 17/12/2011 and got acknowledgement No 1145615 which contained several errors in the print form which was not saved and also duplicate not available online.

    In the form of acknowledgement No 1119833 LPG connection is mentioned as “NO” instead of “Yes”

    Now I request you to guide me as to how to make online correction of my application No 1119833 and also how to include my second daughter’s name as she is residing with me.

    Or please inform me whether I can delete the online application and apply afresh again with all correct details. Please provide a solution to the problem I am facing.

    I filled the online ration application form and submitted but in the acknowledgement receipt generated, I do not find family member names but I remember adding them while filling the online form. Could someone please let me know if it’s normal or it’s a problem. If it’s a problem please tell me how to correct.

    I am from rural area. Here people of panchayat were not good. When election comes near means they will ask us to vote them to get ration card but after the election they did not care about that. but when we ask them. They are saying ok we should make you ration card please help

    I applied for ration card online on 27/01/2012 and got acknowledgement No 2367913. However, I found that I did not mention details of my LPG connection and maritial status

    In the form of acknowledgement No 2367913 LPG connection is mentioned as “NO” instead of “Yes” and Maritial Status is mentioned as “SINGLE” instead of “MARRIED”

    Now I request you to guide me as to how to make online correction of my application No 2367913 Or please inform me whether I can delete the online application and apply afresh again with all correct details. Please provide a solution to the problem I am facing.

    I got married two years before and working in Dubai U.A.E. and I have apply for new Ration Card, from the panchayat office in December 2011. Still I did not get ration card, I m trying to obtain my wife’s passport & it is mandatory for her passport to have ration card with her name in it. Now my problem is she doesn’t have voting card also, I had applied for that as well, but same problem six months over no response. How I will get this document, as soon as possible?     BE DONE WE REGISTERED 1 MORE TIME ONLINE (ITS ACK.NO. IS 3420844).I WANT THE OFFICIALS TO CONSIDER THE 3RD REGISTRATION WITH THE ACK.NO.3420844.SO WHAT CAN I DO FOR THAT . OR ELSE HOW CAN I CANCEL THE FIRST 2 REGISTRATIONS .
